The aftermath of crime — whether it's trauma, grief, anxiety, substance use, or just trying to make sense of what happened — can stay with you long after the incident itself. CalVCB exists to help you access the support you deserve, and we're here to provide it.
We offer compassionate, evidence-based therapy via telehealth throughout California. You can attend sessions from the privacy of your home, on your schedule.
100% Covered
CalVCB pays for your sessions in full. There is no copay, no deductible, and no cost to you at any point.
Telehealth Throughout California
All sessions are conducted via secure video — no commute, no waiting room, and full privacy from wherever you are in California.
Trauma-Informed Care
We understand that reaching out takes courage. Our approach is built on safety, trust, and moving at a pace that feels right for you.

You can apply at victims.ca.gov. Once you receive your Application ID, reach out to us and we'll take it from there.
Is telehealth really private?

Can I see someone other than James for CalVCB services?
At this time, James Garcia is our designated CalVCB provider. If you have questions about fit, feel free to call us and we're happy to talk it through.
What if I'm already seeing another therapist?
That's okay. Some clients work with James specifically for CalVCB-covered sessions while maintaining another therapeutic relationship. We can discuss what makes sense for your situation.
